This is the first of a regular feature where I will post things of interest, information which doesn't fit into other categories and... well, whatever I want to write about!

You have got to check out The Indywood Movie Project where UK film-maker Antony Lane is on a mission to inspire 3000 horror fans to take a chance on him and his project. He's been developing the zombie concept for the last 3 years and doesn't want the studios to take control and take all the credit so he's asking fans to help him launch his new zombie franchise called 'INVASION OF THE NOT QUITE DEAD'. Since May 2009, Antony has been on Twitter daily asking people to sign up and, currently 545 people have taken up a producer package, raising almost £20,000.
There are different producer packages you can buy with lots of exciting benefits including a copy of the movie on DVD or BLU-RAY, time on set, an appearance in the movie and your name in the credits. Current producers can be viewed here.
I've bought a few packages for myself and members of my family and I'm looking forward to the movie being made so I can say that I helped make it. Go on, be a part of this unique enterprise. It's not expensive - you can take a package for as little as £20.
The teaser was shot on S16mm film on location at a small farm in Kent and stars horror veteran Leslie Simpson (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday), Efsia Fele and Frank Jakeman. View the trailer here.
The story is that in 1978 a meteorite crash lands into the Swiss mountains, unleashing a deadly virus. Killing everyone within a 20 mile radius, the incident was covered up by local officials. Now, thirty years later, the virus is released onto an unsuspecting island off the coast of the UK. A group of survivors must band together in order to survive the death and destruction of the once friendly locals.

Celebrity sponsors include Jonathan Ross and people committed to the film include Tom Savini, Kevin Pollak, Ken Russell, David Hess, Lloyd Kaufman, HG Lewis, Lee Boardman and Justin Kerrigan.
Until next time - See ya!
