I've been listening to the 'Dead Mech' podcast by Jake Bible and it's a damn fine good yarn.
If you like your fix of horror to be a mix of zombies, humans fighting for survival, big mechanical warriors and a wasted world, then this is the story for you.
Human civilization is trying to put itself together after the zombie apocalypse which destroyed the world. In the fight against the zombies they have a secret weapon: the Mechs. And if that scenario is not enough to draw you in, a Mech pilot goes and dies in his Mech, becoming a zombie! As the author describes it, Hell on Earth is unleashed..
By the way, the Mechs are big metal machines which have a pilot inside! They can stomp all over the place, crushing and destroying, and are ideal in the fight against the zombie hordes.
The story is a nice departure from the usual zombie apocalypse tales which have done the rounds. And Jake Bible has an interesting method of creating the story - each episode is made up of drabbles.
